Duck season ended with a whimper more so than a bang. Such was the case with a rather slow season, though. There were ducks to be shot, but let's be honest: I'm a crummy shooter! As hard as I work on getting my act together, I just seem to have a heck of a time putting the beads on the birds. Maybe it's a coordination thing, but that just leaves room for me to work, and that's the fun kind of work!
As a reminder of the good times we had this season, though, here's a shot of the kid in the blind early in the season. This was the day after he passed his Hunter's Ed class. It was about 90 degrees outside, and we were sweating like crazy!
No ducks that day, either, but I'll never forget it!
